Meet Twisted Reels
Since 2023, Daphne Minks has been the Founder and CEO of Twisted Reels Productions, where she works as a concept creator, executive producer, showrunner, unscripted writer, and host. Her work lives at the intersection of film, music, paranormal storytelling, sexuality, psychology, and dark humor, building strange, emotionally charged worlds that are as personal as they are cinematic.
At the center of it all is Vortex 29, Daphne’s infamous haunted desert home, filming location, creative laboratory, and the birthplace of Dead Air: Energies. The house has become part production space, part paranormal experiment, and part living mythology, with a growing body of stories, experiences, and lore that somehow gets stranger the longer she lives there.
Long before Twisted Reels, Daphne had already lived several lives, including one as Bethany St. James, a luxury courtesan whose glamorous and controversial history eventually became part of the mythology surrounding her work. Rather than hiding the contradictions, she builds with them.

Today, Daphne is developing an expanding slate of scripted, unscripted, and immersive projects through Twisted Reels Productions, with Vortex 29 serving as bothhome base and creative engine.
